2 What is a polygon? They are flat and closed A polygon is a 2D shape that is made up of straight lines

3 180 o What do the angles inside a triangle always add up to? These are interior angles – they are on the inside

4 180 o What do the interior angles of a quadrilateral always add up to? 180 o + 180 o = 360 o

5 Pentagon 180 o 3 x 180 o = 540 o

6 Hexagon 180 o 4 x 180 o = 720 o

7 Heptagon 180 o 5 x 180 o = 900 o

8 Octagon 180 o 6 x 180 o = 1080 o
