2. Clustering/Mind Mapping When you write down words or concepts associated with the topic – any ideas that come into your mind Another way to organize your ideas. Start with your topic in the center, and branch out from there with related ideas. Use words and phrases, not complete sentences. While mind mapping is more useful for chapter reviews, test preparation, and organizing, clustering is a good tool for short entries or essays. It should take no longer than 2 minutes to do.
