24 LISA is an “arts magnet school” that is housed at MVHS. It offers a wide range of academic classes integrated with arts for learning, as well as advanced placement art/music classes. 25 PLTW is a national non-profit organization established to help schools give students the knowledge they need to excel in high-tech fields. PLTW is centered around the idea of bringing pre- engineering curriculum and concepts to students through practical application while their opinions about careers and interests are still forming. Partnership with UCCS to offer college credit for some PLTW classes. 28 Registration Process Complete PURPLE registration form completely. Each line on the registration form represents a semester; a year long course takes two lines. List four alternates in priority order Obtain signatures: parent & student Teacher signature are recommended but not required.

29 Completing Your Registration Form Fill out Registration Form completely. Completed IN PENCIL with parent/guardian. Input selected courses in Parent Portal account under 15-16 Registration. If you do not have a Parent Portal account please go to the MVHS front office to get your access code and instructions. Turn in Registration Form to middle school counselors on FEBRUARY 13, 2015. Your requests will be checked by your middle school counselors and then “locked”. Fill out Registration Form completely. Completed IN PENCIL with parent/guardian.
