4. Geographical Features
Sukhothai it the southern- most part of northern Thailand, It is about 440 kilometers from Bankok by bus, about 487 kilometers by plane. Sukhothai is considered to north – central Thailand based on the physical features. It is parallel to Phitsanulok, Kumphaengphet, phichit, petchabun and Nakhon Sawan.

6. Loy Krathong and candle Festival.
Loy Krathong Day is one of the most popular festivals of Sukhothai celebrated annually on the Full-Moon Day of the Twelfth Lunar Month. It takes place at a time when the weather is fine as the rainy season is ovear and there is a high water level all over the country.                     

7. Phra Maeya nad the Red Cross Fair
Thai is annual fair which is held in front of the city hall from the end of January to beginning of February every year. The purpose of the fair is to worship Maeya, the holy image that Phor Khun Ramkhamhaeng built for his moter “Nang Suang” and also to worship the 9 great Buddha Image and the monument of King Rama V.

9. Sukhothai Historical Park
Located 12 km from Sukhothai town, the park, which is surrounded by a city gate and a moat, is not only a place of temple ruins but a quintessence of a pinnacle of Thailand’s architectural marvel. Many buidlings and religious artefacts created during its era are uniquely beautiful and elegant.

10. Wat Chang Lom
This is an important monument within the old town of Si Satchanalai. A huge bell-shaped chedi supported by 39 elephants, with 4 of them at 4 cardinal points elaborately decorated, marks the center of the temple. Above the chedits base, there are niches enshrining images of the Buddha subduing Mara.
