1. That Changes Everything!” Mark 16:1-7 I Peter 1:3-9

8. But there is ONE event that is above all others…

9. It REALLY DOES change everything!

11. THE EMPTY TOMB!

12. He is Risen, just as He said!

13. The tomb was empty, the stone was rolled away, and EVERYTHING IS CHANGED!

14. Peter writes (remember Peter!)

15. “…He has given us a new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ…” I Peter 1:3

16. 1.We have a hope, a knowledge that death is not the end

17. 2.Our hope includes a knowledge that death does not win

18. 3.Our hope includes the knowledge that God forgives

19. Mark 16:7 “But go, tell His disciples and Peter, ‘He is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him, just as He told you.’”

20. We can know that forgiveness too

21. I John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

22. 4.Our hope includes the knowledge that new life is an option

23. II Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

24. 5.Our hope includes the promise of a better tomorrow

25. I Peter 1:3-4 “Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead…”

26. I Peter 1:3-4 “…and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you…”

27. With a knowledge that death is not the end, that evil does not win, that God forgives, that we have new life, that we have a bright tomorrow…

28. …That changes everything!

29. He is Risen! Indeed!
