6. Choosing Fabric & Materials Choose a fabric you like, and/or suggests a theme. Coordinate other fabrics with 1 st choice. Categorize fabrics into groups (cute, fancy). Choose fabrics that contrast each other. Choose designs of different sizes, scale, types of patterns, etc.

7. Choosing a Garment/Accessory Examine the fabric. Test for wearability. Check the grain and construction. Is it suitable for they way you plan to wear it? Consider garment care.
