The word “Apocalypse” and the word “Revelation” mean the same thing

to “Unveil” and “Reveal” things to come

The First Horseman of the apocalypse is the white horse, and I believe represents deception – specifically in the person and spirit of the Anti-Christ

Revelation 6:2 And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.

Through his charisma and ability, he will gain world recognition

Chaotic world conditions will call for such a leader, and he will be propelled to the top

Under his leadership, he will bring what seems like real peace to the middle east

The second Horseman of the apocalypse is the red horse, which I believe represents dissension & war

Revelation 6:3-4 3 And when he had opened the second seal, I heard the second beast say, Come and see. 4 And there went out another horse that was red: and power was given to him that sat thereon to take peace from the earth, and that they should kill one another: and there was given unto him a great sword.

Somewhere around the middle of the tribulation period, the “what seems like peace on the middle east” will be broken

And an open and unbelievable hostility will break out as never seen before

There should be no doubt among thinking people, about the possibility of an all out, catastrophic war as prophesied in the Bible

It can and will happen, but when?

Matthew 24:3-8 3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? We don’t know, but Jesus said it this way… We don’t know, but Jesus said it this way…

Matthew 24:3-8 4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. We don’t know, but Jesus said it this way…

Matthew 24:3-8 6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. We don’t know, but Jesus said it this way…

Matthew 24:3-8 7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows. We don’t know, but Jesus said it this way…

The third Horseman of the apocalypse is the black horse which I believe represents devastation and famine

Revelation 6:5-6 5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

Revelation 6:5-6 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

As a result of the horrible bloodshed that takes place due to all the war, devastation naturally follows

This war will not only kill millions of men, women and children…

…but it will also destroy valuable farmlands and demolish manufacturing and merchandising businesses

These armies will kill people and devastate the economy

This is only natural…

A war torn society always faces shortages of water, food and other basic life necessities

Famine to us in the United States looks like mass starvation in remote, third world countries

In thinking of famine, we see small children with emaciated bodies, bloated bellies with skeletal bones protruding and flies buzzing around sullen, staring faces

It’s hard to look at very long!

What’s horribly sad, is that in many of these countries, there are often the powerful and elite group of rulers who hoard the nation’s wealth and resources, while sitting fat and happy as the masses perish!

FAMINE we don’t know much about it

FAMINE FACTS There are 6.5 billion people in the world today

FAMINE FACTS Over 800 million are malnourished

FAMINE FACTS 16,500 children under the age of five, die every single day because of malnourishment!

FAMINE FACTS That is 688 children every hour!

FAMINE FACTS The number one reason for hunger and malnourishment is poverty

FAMINE FACTS More than one billion people live on LESS THAN $i a day

FAMINE FACTS 60% of the world’s population lives on 5% of the world’s income

FAMINE FACTS The other 40% of the world’s population live on the remaining 95%

FAMINE FACTS That’s about 4 billion people living on 5% and 2.5 billion living on 95%

There is already a FAMINE

Revelation 6:5-6 5 And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand. 6 And I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny; and see thou hurt not the oil and the wine.

A BLACK HORSE The word Black or blackness is found 23 times in the Bible; describing the sky, hair, cloth, marble, skin, night, ravens, seeds and horses

A BLACK HORSE Blackness seems to most often speak of “darkness”

A BLACK HORSE The Israelites used “blackness” to signify the mourning of men due to scarcity, want and famine

A BLACK HORSE Jeremiah 14:2 Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

A BLACK HORSE Lamentations 5:10 Our skin was black like an oven because of the terrible famine.

A BLACK HORSE Joel 2:4-6 4 The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. 5 Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.

A BLACK HORSE Joel 2:4-6 6 Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.

A PAIR OF BALANCES IN HIS RIGHT HAND

The Greek word is “Zugon” which literally means “yoke,” as in the yoke of an ox

A PAIR OF BALANCES IN HIS RIGHT HAND It’s that beam of balance that looks like what is across the oxen

A PAIR OF BALANCES IN HIS RIGHT HAND On each side of the beam would be a pan in which contents are added to be weighed

A PAIR OF BALANCES IN HIS RIGHT HAND From ancient times to about 100 years ago, the value or quality of things were weighed on scales

A PAIR OF BALANCES IN HIS RIGHT HAND People bought or sold items by weight or measure, not based on currency like today

A PAIR OF BALANCES IN HIS RIGHT HAND When scales are mentioned in measuring bread, it is a symbol of scarcity, because bread would normally be sold by the loaf, not it’s exact weight

A PAIR OF BALANCES IN HIS RIGHT HAND During a famine however, each ounce of flour would be extremely valuable and rationed by weight or measure

A PAIR OF BALANCES IN HIS RIGHT HAND Leviticus 26:26 And when I have broken the staff of your bread, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall deliver you your bread again by weight: and ye shall eat, and not be satisfied.

A PAIR OF BALANCES IN HIS RIGHT HAND Ezekiel 4:16 Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:

A measure of wheat for a penny and three measures of barley for a penny A measure is equal to our quart

A measure of wheat for a penny and three measures of barley for a penny A penny was the “roman denarius” and was equal to an entire day’s wages

A measure of wheat for a penny and three measures of barley for a penny One quart of wheat will sell for a day’s wage (a quart is the amount a normal man needs to survive)

A measure of wheat for a penny and three measures of barley for a penny In roman times, a day’s wage would buy 8 quarts of wheat, or 24 quarts of barley but not during this time In roman times, a day’s wage would buy 8 quarts of wheat, or 24 quarts of barley but not during this time

A measure of wheat for a penny and three measures of barley for a penny Imagine bread costing $16-20 for a loaf!

Hurt not the oil and the wine More expensive food items will not be in short supply, because most people will not be able to afford them

Hurt not the oil and the wine Although oil and wine provide additional nutritional value and were staples in the middle eastern diet, an average man will spend all he has on flour for bread

And I heard the third beast say Revelation 6:5a And when he had opened the third seal, I heard the third beast say, Come and see. And I beheld, and lo a black horse; and he that sat on him had a pair of balances in his hand.

And I heard the third beast say Revelation 4:7 And the first beast was like a lion, and the second beast like a calf, and the third beast had a face as a man, and the fourth beast was like a flying eagle.

And I heard the third beast say The third beast had the face of a man

Famine has a human face! THIS WILL BE A HORRIBLE TIME to be ON PLANET EARTH!

Well, what does this have to do with me now? Amos 8:11-12 11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

Well, what does this have to do with me now? Amos 8:11-12 12 And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the LORD, and shall not find it.

Well, what does this have to do with me now? A famine in the land of hearing the Words of the Lord!
