Become familiar with: Demographic data TIGER files EPA data USGS GNIS data –Become familiar with NOAA Environmental Sensitivity data Hazardous Materials Release Lab #2 –Create a facility in CAMEO –Attach the facility to a location in MARPLOT –Use ALOHA to generate a chemical plume –Link the chemical plume to the facility in MARPLOT –Select the plume in MARPLOT and search for: Block groups for population demographics Possible shelter within 50 miles of the plume Possible triage locations within 20 miles of the plume Environmentally sensitive areas affected by the plume Possible evacuation routes –For each selected component, export to a new layer. Export to a *.mie file Edit the file to change the layer Import the edited file Radiological Release Lab #3 –Same as above using HPAC to generate a radiological plume Technological Hazards
