30 Preparing Students for the Badger Exam TAs have an important role in helping to ensure that all students have been provided opportunities to prepare for the Badger Exam. Together with the SAC, the TA should ensure that all students have: Participated in the Badger Exam Practice Test Participated in the Smarter Balanced Practice Test Viewed the Universal Tools Student Tutorial

31 Practice Tests * Text-to-speech is available only when accessing the Badger Practice Test through the secure browser

32 This module has been designed for students and acquaints students with the universal tools (e.g., types of calculators, expandable text) available during testing. This module should be shown to students in a classroom/ group setting. Universal Tools Student Tutorial

33 Student Preparation TAs should answer questions raised by students, but should not help students with specific test items. If a student asks for assistance either in answering or manipulating a test question, the TA should direct the towards the embedded tutorials for help. Together the Smarter Balanced Practice Test, Badger Exam Practice Test, and the Universal Tools Student Tutorial will provide the necessary exposure to tools and question types to help prepare students for the assessment.
