LIGHT
17
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” John 3:19–21 (NKJV) 19 And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20 For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
18
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” John 3:19–21 (NKJV) 21 But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”
19
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” Ephesians 5:8–13 (NKJV) 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.
20
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” Ephesians 5:8–13 (NKJV) 11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. 12 For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. 13 But all things that are exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light.
21
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” 1 John 1:7 (NKJV) 7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.
22
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” All For His Glory
23
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” John 14:12–14 (NKJV) 12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.
24
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” John 14:12–14 (NKJV) 13 And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
25
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” Psalm 34:17–19 (NKJV) 17 The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears, And delivers them out of all their troubles. 18 The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit. 19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, But the Lord delivers him out of them all.
26
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN”
27
2 Corinthians 4:7–18 (The Message) 7 If you only look at us, you might well miss the brightness. We carry this precious Message around in the unadorned clay pots of our ordinary lives. That’s to prevent anyone from confusing God’s incomparable power with us.
28
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” 2 Corinthians 4:7–18 (The Message) 8 As it is, there’s not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we’re not much to look at. We’ve been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we’re not demoralized; we’re not sure what to do,
29
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” 2 Corinthians 4:7–18 (The Message) 9 but we know that God knows what to do; we’ve been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn’t left our side; we’ve been thrown down, but we haven’t broken. 10 What they did to Jesus, they do to us— trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us—he lives!
30
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” 2 Corinthians 4:7–18 (The Message) 11Our lives are at constant risk for Jesus’ sake, which makes Jesus’ life all the more evident in us. 12 While we’re going through the worst, you’re getting in on the best!
31
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” 2 Corinthians 4:7–18 (The Message) 13 We’re not keeping this quiet, not on your life. Just like the psalmist who wrote, “I believed it, so I said it,” we say what we believe. 14 And what we believe is that the One who raised up the Master Jesus will just as certainly raise us up with you, alive.
32
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” 2 Corinthians 4:7–18 (The Message) 15 Every detail works to your advantage and to God’s glory: more and more grace, more and more people, more and more praise! 16 So we’re not giving up. How could we! Even though on the outside it often looks like things are falling apart on us, on the inside, where God is making new life, not a day goes by without his unfolding grace.
33
JESUS ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” JESUS … ”COME, TAKE, LEARN” 2 Corinthians 4:7–18 (The Message) 17 These hard times are small potatoes compared to the coming good times, the lavish celebration prepared for us. 18 There’s far more here than meets the eye. The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.
