8. New Kindergarten Law ORAL HEALTH ASSESSMENT FOR KINDERGARTEN New California law requires an oral health assessment for all kindergarten and first grade public school students. Advocates for Access, Inc. is a Non Profit Charitable Corporation that will be working with local dental offices to provide Oral Health Assessment for Kids. The Assessment, or evaluation, can be met in many ways, it can be a complete examination and treatment plan performed, or it can be a more basic oral health evaluation, such as screening. 13. Arnold C. Paulos, D.D.S., F.A.G.D. Dr. Paulos is a family Dentist, who grew up and lives in the East Bay Area. He attended the University of the Pacific as an under graduate were he double majored in English and Biology. Then he studied at the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry where he received his D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery) in 1991. Dr. Paulos is an active member of the local dental society where he served as Dental Health and Education Chairman, the California Dental Association where he served in the Council on Community Health, as well as the American Dental Association. He is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry were he received his Fellowship, and Northern California Master Track Study Group. Dr. Paulos serves as the advisory dentist to a skilled nursing facility and senior centers in the local area. Continuing Educational courses and being active in Organized Dentistry is a priority to Dr. Paulos. Dr. Verceles has a Masters in the Academy of General Dentistry. He is board eligible with the American Board of General Dentistry and is a sustaining member in the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
