Lord of the Flies: Island Map You will be drawing a map of the island the boys are stranded on based upon the descriptions given in the book. Please refer to not only your Chapter 1 Graphic Organizer for help, but also pgs. 7, 10, 12, 26, 27, and 29 in your book for more thorough descriptions. This task might seem easy, but Golding gives us specific descriptions that you must accurately portray on your map. I understand that not all of us are artists, but you should be able to convey the general idea of what the island looks like. Your map must include the following: Labels of specific places: The scar The lagoon The platform where meetings are held The jungle/forest The mountain The coral reef Color – you will have an opportunity to color it tomorrow in class
