3 Some directors use storyboards to help with the visualization of idea to cast and crew. The disadvantage in using storyboards is considerable time and talent used to draw each scene

4 Storyboards don’t have to be fancy!

5 They just have to communicate visually!

6 Sometimes storyboards include shot abbreviations and audio

10 You can also use arrows to denote tilts, pans, and tracking as well as zooming in and out if you combine arrows with rectangles.

11 Storyboard Assignment Pick One of the scenarios on your handout. Draw Storyboards for the scenario you choose. Grading-Must Have: – Shot Abbreviations – Movement Arrows and Boxes – Min. 2 full pages of storyboards – Visible Effort – Clear understanding of boards.
