2 Fellowship Fellowship Comprehensive training in nuclear technologies and nuclear nonproliferation at PNNL and NNSA Headquarters Opportunities for additional training at U.S. National Laboratories and other U.S. government agencies determined based on placements Fellowship is a 12-month appointment, with current placements in Washington, D.C. Fellows participate in daily activities to support NNSA's global nonproliferation programmatic work. Requirements include:  PNNL Orientation and Training  NNSA Orientation and Training, and  Placement-specific Orientation and Training

3 Competitive salary of $43,000 Health and dental plan, paid vacation, and paid holidays Unique combination of comprehensive training and practical application supporting major USG nonproliferation programs Interaction with U.S. Government nonproliferation professionals and U.S. National Laboratory experts Security clearance, and Opportunities to network for future career positions Benefits

4 U.S. citizen eligible for DOE security clearance Graduate student in any of several possible fields: International Affairs, Political Science, Economics, History, International Business, Science, or Engineering Recent PhD or nearing completion preferred for technical offices Full time fellowship Career interest in national security and nonproliferation Demonstrated maturity, good communication skills, good judgment, self-motivation, and excellent interpersonal skills Fluency in a foreign language and experience working or studying abroad is a plus Interest in technical discipline related to nuclear nonproliferation preferred for technical offices NGP Qualifications
