4. Survive to compete another day Kingco League Championships Maile – Kingco High Jump Champion (Second Female League Champion) Boys 8 th (4 Individuals & 1 Relay placed) Girls 7 th (9 Individuals & 3 Relays placed)

5. Survive to compete another day SeaKing District Championships Boys 16 th (3 Individuals placed) Girls 9 th (6 Individuals & 1 Relay placed)

6. Star Track 2002 “Nice Try” 2 Boys, 4 Girls and 1 Girls Relay Events. Kelly placed 6 th at 1600m (Second time placing) Kelly (1600m and 4x4), Jamie (4x4), Erin (4x4) for third time. Erin (400m) and Maile (High J.) for second time. Morgan, Pat, Chloe and Kim compete for the first time as individuals.

7. 2002 Records (not counting new javelin) Freshman class records (2 Girls events). Sophomore class records (2 Boys events). Junior class records (3 Girls events). Senior class records (8 Girls events). CHS records (2 Girls events).

8. Class of 2005 Having them around keeps the coaches alive.

9. Kelsi Coltom - Freshman Earned her first Varsity letter. Tied 4th all-time in the high jump. 8 th all time in the triple jump. Also competed in 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m and long jump. Next year – Needs to try even more events.

10. Kim Drew - Freshman Earned her first Varsity letter. Member of State 4x4 team. Placed in Kingco’s in both hurdles. 3 rd all-time in 100m Hurdles. 4 th all-time in 300m Hurdles. 6 th all-time in triple jump. 15 th on CHS Power list. Also competed in the long jump. Next year – State Meet - Pasco

11. Matt Hunt - Freshman Earned his JV award. Threw the shot put and the discus. Next year – Keep on improving to 35’ and 95’

12. Kim Hunter - Freshman Earned her JV award. 2 nd all-time with the new javelin. Freshman record in the new javelin. Next year – Qualify for Kingco’s in the javelin.

13. Diane McKenney - Freshman Earned her first Varsity award. 4 th all time at 3200m. 6 th all time at 1600m. 8 th all time in the 800m. 5 th all time in the High Jump 20 th on CHS Power list. Next year – qualify for Kingco in 3 events.

14. John Meylor - Freshman Earned his JV award. Ran the 800m and the 1600m. Next year – Top 10 list at 800m.

15. Kyle Muggli - Freshman Earned his JV award. 4 th all time with the new javelin. Freshman record with the new javelin. Next year – qualify for Kingco in javelin.

16. Brittany Richardson - Freshman Earned her first Varsity letter. 5 th all time in the long jump. Also ran the 100m, 200m and relays. Next year – League placer in the long jump.

17. Ibrahim Sial - Freshman Earned his JV award. Ran the 1600m. Next year – No more pacing Newport girls to good times.

19. Chloe Christman - Sophomore Earned her second Varsity letter. Member of State 4x4 team. 5 th all-time in the 200m. Tied 6 th all-time in the 100m. 7 th all-time in the 400m. 20 th on CHS Power list. Next year – State Meet - Pasco

20. Joe Gutschmidt - Sophomore Earned his JV award. 3 rd all-time with the new javelin. Next year – Try some hurdling.

21. Brooke Hellman - Sophomore Earned her JV award. 6 th all-time in the 3200m. 8 th all-time in the 1600m. Next year – Move up the top 10 lists.

22. Matt Kersten - Sophomore Earned his JV award. Ran the 1600m and 3200m. Next year – Stay healthy and have a full season.

23. Junwen Law - Sophomore Earned his first Varsity letter. 10 th all-time in the 1600m. Also competed in the 400m, 800m and 3200m. Next year – Qualify for Kingco’s. Move up top 10 lists.

24. Colin McDonell - Sophomore Earned his second Varsity letter. 5 th all-time in the 800m. Tied 9 th in the 400m. Sophomore record at 800m. Also competed in 200m and 1600m. Next year – School record in 4x4. District qualifier at 800m. Exit the pre-pubescent stage.

25. Evan Sebenius - Sophomore Earned his JV award. 2 nd all-time with the new javelin. Sophomore record with the new javelin. Next year – qualify for Kingco in javelin.

26. Stu Swenson - Sophomore Earned his JV award. Threw the shot put and discus. Next year – Keep improving to 38’ and 105’.

27. Maika Takanohara - Sophomore Earned her JV award. 5 th all-time with the new javelin. Sophomore record with the new javelin. Also threw the discus. Next year – 80’ in both events.

28. Matt Warner - Sophomore Earned his second Varsity letter. 6 th in the 400m. Tied 6 th in the 200m. Tied 7 th all-time in the 100m. Frosh record in the 100m and 200m. Next year – School record in 4x4. Qualify for districts in two events.

30. Stefanie Abell - Junior Earned her JV award. 9 th all-time in the 1600m. 9 th all-time in the 3200m. Next year – No more chiropractor visits. Move up the top 10 lists.

31. Stevie Boyd - Junior Earned her JV award. 8 th all-time with the new javelin. 3 rd in the pole vault. Next year – Stay healthy. Move up the new javelin top 10 list.

32. Pat Conrick - Junior Earned his third Varsity letter. State qualifier in high and triple jump. 2 nd all-time in high jump. 5 th all-time in the triple jump. 6 th all-time in the 300m Hurdles. 9 th all-time in the long jump. Frosh and soph records in the high jump. Next year – School record in 4x4. State placer in two events.

33. Jenine Drew - Junior Earned her first Varsity letter. 9 th all-time in 400m and 800m. Also competed in the 200m, discus and shot put. Next year – Have Marc pick less bizarre events.

34. Billy English - Junior Earned his third Varsity letter. District qualifier at 100m and 200m. 2 nd all-time in the 200m. Tied 3 rd all-time in the 100m. Still soph records in the 100m and 200m. Next Year – School record in 4x4. State qualifier in three events.

35. Blake Hellman - Junior Earned his first Varsity letter. 9 th all-time in the 3200m. Also ran the 800m and 1600m. Next year – Kingco qualifier. Move up top 10 lists.

36. Karley Korshaven - Junior Earned her JV award. Threw the shot put and discus. Next year – Keep on making new personal records.

37. Brian Lee - Junior Earned his first Varsity letter. 7 th all time in the 1600m. 8 th all time in the 3200m. Also ran the 800m. Next year – Kingco qualifier. Move up top 10 lists.

38. Devin Looijen - Junior Earned his JV award. 9 th all time at 800m. Next year – Stay healthy. Move up 800m list.

39. Vong Ly - Junior Earned his JV award. Threw the shot put and the discus. Next year – 35’ and 90’.

43. Erica Burch - Senior Earned her second Varsity letter. League qualifier in the javelin. School record with the new javelin. 5 th all-time with the old javelin. 8 th all-time in the 3200m.

44. Morgan Jackson - Senior Earned her fourth Varsity letter. State qualifier at 100m Hurdles. District finalist at 300m Hurdles. Member of State 4x4 team. School and senior class record at 100m H. 2 nd all-time at 300m H. 7 th all-time at 200m. 10 th all-time at Triple Jump. 12 th on CHS Power list.

45. Erin Kendig - Senior Earned her fourth Varsity letter. 3 Time Member of State 4x4 team. Two time State qualifier at 400m. Placed 5 th as junior. School records at 200m, 400m, 4 x 2 and 4 x 4. 2 nd all-time at 100m. 3 rd all-time at 800m. All four class records at 400m. Junior and senior records at 200m. 3 rd on CHS Power list.

Girls – Replace the seniors. Build for the future. Boys – 78% of dual meet points return. Two year window. State berths for Kelly, Pat, Girls 4x4 and ??
