2 The FEMAP Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity founded in 1992 to provide aid and support for FEMAP (Health and Community Development of Cd. Juarez A.C.) Salud y Desarrollo Comunitario de Cd. Juarez/ FEMAP is a private, nonprofit institution organized under the laws of Mexico.

3 To support and promote the mission of FEMAP in Mexico, which is to raise the quality of life among people living in poverty, through health services, education, research, and economic and social empowerment. 5 39 years working to serve the marginated areas of The City of Juarez and the north of the State of Chihuahua FEMAP’s programs and services stem from the believe that all of us have the innate ability to affect change. Whether in our individual lives, our organizations, neighborhoods or our communities, we can create the ideas and generate the energy needed to improve our social condition. In 2011 FEMAP Served 15,046 people through its Community Programs

9 In 2011, 4,360 children and adolescents participated in one or two of FEMAP’s youth programs. These programs contribute to the child’s quality of life by implementing activities that help in their physical and emotional development and strengthens communities to confront the problems faces by today’s youth in Cd. Juarez.

10 2011 Safe Places: Jovenes Como un Recurso 39 years serving marginalized communities in Cd. Juarez and the the State of Chihuahua The program teaches adolescents how to be philanthropists by volunteering. In 2011, after a successful test, the program was expanded to encompass youth who are on the verge of dropping out of school. The program works with adolescents 12 to 18 years-of-age in Cd. Juarez. One of the many and most important outcomes is developing positive change in the youth.

12 Ampliando el Desarollo de los Niños: After-School Programs 39 years serving marginalized communities in Cd. Juarez and the the State of Chihuahua FEMAP’s After-School Program covers schools in Amado Nervo, Fernando Ahuatzín Reyes, Jaime Torres Bodet and Pedro Zaragoza to serve 500 children between the ages of six and 12. The schools are located in the marginalized and gang-ridden colonias of Industrial No. 1, Francisco I. Madero, Rancho Anapra and Lomas de Poleo, respectively. Children receive tutoring, classes in dance, music, English, arts and crafts and Karate.

19 En Sexualidad Tu Tienes la Palabra 39 years serving marginalized communities in Cd. Juarez and the the State of Chihuahua Two Should Know: En Sexualidad tu Tienes la Palabra – Part of Paso del Norte Health Foundation’s Goal 4: Healthy Family and Social Environment. FEMAP provided comprehensive sexuality education presentations for youth 12 to 18 years of age. In 2012, the program was expanded to train 200 peer educators.
