4 RAND Research: Key Findings on Stigma in CA -Approximately 1 in 3 harbor feelings of shame, inferiority, and disappointment in themselves because of their mental health problem. -1 in 5 indicate that they might delay treatment out of fear of letting others know about their mental health problem. -Nearly 9 out of 10 survey respondents report experiencing mental health related discrimination in the past 12 months within realm of intimate social relationships.
