Guilt Condemnation Shame

Guilt – I’m not forgiven Condemnation Shame

For the wages [payment] of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.

Guilt – I’m not forgiven Condemnation – I deserve judgment Shame

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, 2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. 3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.

Grace cannot be earned; it can only be received or rejected

For the accuser of our brothers and sisters, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down. 11 They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.

Guilt – I’m not forgiven Condemnation – I deserve judgment Shame – I am wrong (I am one with my sin)

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!

You can’t improve on Jesus’ righteousness; All you can do is receive it as a gift!

as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

1. Penalty of sin 2. Power of sin

In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

The Gospel is so simple a child can understand it, yet so powerful it can change the universe.

The Gospel is not about praying a prayer to get into heaven; it’s about getting heaven into you.

They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone together who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

“Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord”

My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, 5 so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.

1. If you want to make a decision to follow Jesus and live for a Kingdom greater than your own 1. Any other need…  academic concerns  financial issues  need guidance  homesick/lonely/need friends  healing in your body
