You need a group. You can not work by yourself. Partners can be from any 4 th grade class. Teachers must approve.

You need a costume. 1.A hat to represent the era. 2.Borrow a bandana. 3.Girls can wear skirts/jeans. 4.Boys can wear long-sleeved shirts.

Transportation You need a wagon (or model). Livestock will pull the wagon (oxen, horses, or mules). You can draw an animal or copy one from the internet.

Crops Pioneers raised wheat, oats, or barley to sell. They raised corn, potatoes, and beans to eat.

Your home Pioneers lived in tents for a while. Often they built sod houses. You can use tents or cardboard boxes to show that you have a “home.” Stakes and rope (string, yarn) to fence in a 10X10 plot.
