Adverbs of frequency come (before/after) the main verbs in a sentence. Examples: I often go to school on foot. They usually ride the bus to school. He rarely wins at table tennis. You never play basketball with us. What is the verb? What is the adverb?

6 Adverbial Phrases of Frequency
Adverbial phrases have more than one word. They are more exact than adverbs. Adverb: always Adverbial phrase: every day Adverb: usually Adverbial phrase: twice a week Adverb: sometimes Adverbial phrase: once a month

7 How do we use Adverbs of Frequency?
Adverbs of frequency often come (in the middle/at the end of a sentence). Sometimes, they come at the beginning. Examples: I watch movies every Saturday. On Sundays, I watch cartoons. Once a month, we visit my grandparents. I go to Hong Kong every weekend. If the adverbial phrase comes at the beginning, you must have a comma.
