4  Buddhism appeals to all people, not just a specific group  Can be both a Buddhist and a believer of other Eastern Religions, appeals to more people

5  No one person in charge  Monks lead meditation, but you can practice on your own

6  Started in India/Tibet border and spread slowly  Main cause of diffusion is from Asoka, an Emperor, the only way it spread was from him traveling to other places converting people and sending missionaries  Spread to North America through relocation diffusion
