The hotel is part of The Peninsula Hotels Group based in Hong Kong who are owned by Hongkong and Shanghai Hotels Limited. The Hotel has won numerous awards for luxury including Asia's number one city hotel and the best hotel in Bangkok. At the moment the structure is the 78th highest hotel in the world and the 2 cd tallest in the city of Bangkok after the Baiyoke Tower Hotel. Due to the hotels W shaped structure, there is a view of the river from everyone of its 370 rooms.
