3 Place Value: Hundreds Tens and Units It is difficult to see how many objects there are above without counting them. It would be easier to tell how many there were if they had been grouped into Hundreds, Tens and Units.

4 HUNDREDS TENS UNITS So we write: 2 3 4 H T U In this case the 2 is the Hundreds (H), the 3 is the Tens (T) and the 4 is the units (U).
