BIOGRAPHY Steven Paul Jobs was born February 24th, 1955 in San Francisco, California. His biological parents, Joanne Schieble and Abdulfattah Jandali, two University of Wisconsin graduate students gave him up for adoption. Steve was adopted by Paul, a Coast Guard veteran and Clara Jobs, an accountant. A couple years later they moved to the suburban city of Mountain View. In the early 1950s the Santa Clara county, south of the Bay Area, became known as Silicon Valley after the sprouting of a myriad of semi-conductor companies. As a result, young Steve Jobs grew up in a neighborhood of engineers working on electronics in their garages on weekends. Growing up there started his interest in the field. At age 13, he met 18- year-old Stephen Wozniak, an electronics wiz kid who would one day help him build the Apple computer. In his college years Steve enrolled in Reed College where he only spent one semester before dropping out, due to other interests. He moved to a hippie commune in Oregon where his main activity was cultivating apples.

BIOGRAPHY II Months later, Steve returned to California in search of a job. He was hired at the young video game maker Atari, and used saved money to travel to India with one of his college friends, Stephen Wozniak. When they Steve's interests in Wozniak’s activities grew as he soon learned how to build a computer board which Steve thought could be sold to a software hobbyist who wanted to write software without having to assemble the computer himself thus Apple was born April 1st, 1976.

Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak invented the first Apple computer in his parent's garage but Apple II was the one that was released and became the first widely used personal computer in the world. At 25 years old he made 239 million dollars. In 1984 Jobs invented the Macintosh and soon after in 1986 purchased the Graphics Division from George Lucas and established Pixar. After leaving Apple and coming back he invents the iMac, the fastest selling pc ever. Apple soon released the iPod and iTunes not to long after. The iPod than brought forth the iPhone and soon the iPad.

Steve Jobs not only created Apple Inc. but also funded Pixar, an American computer animation film studio. Jobs not only created the technology most designers of all kinds use today in their field of work but also funded Pixar which made wildly popular films.

Apple is widely used by many designers, animators and artists across the world. This is because of the many tools Macs possess which help in work with editing. Apple technology is also well protected and most applications seem almost built in giving it a natural feel.

Apple has invented many popular devices over the years and the newest one of all has been the Apple Watch. Jobs invented computers, lap tops, media players, phones, tablets and now a smart watch. There could be many possibilities to what Apple will astound the world with next but it is most likely Apple will to update what they have so far until everyday life calls for a new product.
10
In his 56 years Steve Jobs accomplished a lot and became a very successful businessman known by many around the world even after his death. While expensive, Apple products are great desired for both its attractive design and software. I'm sure Apple will come up with more products many would like to get their hands on which many artists such as I would like to use.
