More and more Muslims are committed to do their share in creating a better world, the idea of “What is good for Muslims must also be good for the World” is gaining currency. The media opts to present the bad guys as the face of Islam. Yes, they are bad guys because they are, and not because of their religion. Bad guys are in every faith and every group. Islam forbids offensive war, suicide, compulsion, oppression and Killing of any one, unless it is in self-defense. So is every faith! Let’s separate bad guys from religion. Throw me in the prison for the wrongs I do, do not crucify my family, my neighbors or my religion. Don’t let me escape by broadening your shooting range. By barking at the Universe, we have failed to point our gun at the bad guys… Let’s not bark at Muslims or Islam, instead go after the wrong doers. Results are bound to come. An Apology

We share responsibility for worsening of the relations between people of the world. We did not pay attention to the painful issues that people of other faiths endured but not shared. We did not understand it. Now, we have found the CULPRIT….and I apologize for this neglect on our part. THE CULPRIT

Understanding Qur’aan The friction and the subsequent worsening relations between Muslims, Hindus, Christians and Jews in particular, and all others in general is based on among other things… a few verses in Qur’aan, NO, not the verses, but the Translation. Although finding the truth is one’s own responsibility.

The Most Recited Chapter of Qur’aan Let me share the translation of two verses: These verses are critical – because this is the one sura (chapter) that is recited most – for a Muslims who follow rituals religiously, he or she would recite this Sura at least 50 times a day…

The Culprit …. Al-Fatiha Verse 1:7 Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala alddalleena Literal : (The) way/road (of) those You blessed on them, not (those) the angered on them, and nor the misguided. Translations :  Yusuf Ali : The way of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy Grace, those whose (portion) is not wrath, and who go not astray.  Free mind : The path of those whom You have blessed, not those who have incurred the wrath, nor the misguided.  Hilali Khan: The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians).

The Culprit …. Al-Fatiha Verse 1:7 Sirata allatheena anAAamta AAalayhim ghayri almaghdoobi AAalayhim wala alddalleena Hilali Khan Translation: The Way of those on whom You have bestowed Your Grace, not (the way) of those who earned Your Anger (such as the Jews), nor of those who went astray (such as the Christians). The words Christian and Jews are not in the Arabic Text… it is Hilali’s creation.

Our Apology …. Our apologies to all our friends, particularly the Jews, Christians and Hindus who must have felt the pain and anguish when they read the very first chapter of the Qur’aan. No matter what we told you about the truth, you had the book and facts in your hand, the book that was ill-translated. There was no way for you to believe otherwise, other than that it was the word of God. Thanks to all our Jewish, Hindu and Christian friends for pointing the verse, and thanks God for giving us the opportunity to clarify and remove the stepping stone for pain. In the interest of peace and co-existence between the people of the world, I ask you to understand that God always wants peace and equilibrium in his universe and would not say anything derogatory about his own creation, no matter what religion he chooses to communicate to the mankind. However, it is man’s (individual’s) ego and insecurities that are the root for evil on this earth. God willing, we will fix these errors on this website www.WorldMjuslimCongress.com so we can deal with the real conflicts, rather than perceptions. www.WorldMjuslimCongress.com God bless us all and infuse the goodwill in us to create a peaceful world. If your English Translated Version of Qur’aan was given to you freely, most likely it is the HILALI translation. We cannot remove that copy of the translations, there are millions of copies out there including perhaps one in your collection… The best choice is to add more translations to your collection, so we can understand it’s range and let there be free expression, Finding the truth is one’s own responsibility.

Muslims awakened This is an awakening to Muslims – Most Muslims read the Qur’aan in Arabic, they never paid attention to the meaning of it. Rarely any one pays attention to the meaning of prayers be it in Latin, Pali or Sanskrit… No one ever feels the need to question the legitimacy of the translations, as Prayers are rituals people want to perform and get out of there…. The word of God is always beautiful, in every faith, it is the interpretation that is dangerous. This translation has been one of the most painful ones for my Jewish, Hindu and Christian friends. Their ill-will may be based on that… I hope we can continue to dialogue and clarify items that are conflictious, rather than building grudges inside of us, and rather than basing our animosity on no grounds. Finding the truth is one’s own responsibility. We have limited time and funds, so we will take our sweet time to complete this project. First of all, we the Muslims must also be aware of these mistakes – Qur’aan is perfect, it’s our understanding that isn’t.

And now the full chapter Sura al-Fatihah – the beginning  I n the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.  A ll praise belongs to God, Lord of the Universe  T he Beneficent, the Merciful.  M aster of the Day of Judgment.  T hee (alone) we worship; Thee (alone) we ask for help.  G uide us in the right (straight) path  t he path of those to whom You have granted blessings, those who are neither subject to Your anger nor have gone astray This can be the prayer for every one….
