They have priority for a place in the University Campus. A new hall of residence is under construction so more rooms will be available in the future.  Students studying on their own (paying in Romanian currency) – they are generally of Romanian origin – can be accommodated in the University Campus. A place costs 80 RON (2008 – 2009 academic year) in a two beds room and 50 RON in a five bed room. Our Social Services Office offers the students a number of rooms for a fee, based on the principle: first come – first served.  Students studying on their own (paying in a foreign currency) – can be hosted in University campus only if there are vacant rooms – the fee is 70 UDS/month. The priority for rooms is given to students following the Preparatory year.  In the city  Renting an apartment in Timisoara costs between 150-300 € / month, depending on the location (apartments closer to the city center are more expensive) and number of rooms  If you don’t want to rent a student flat and would rather prefer to rent a place elsewhere in Timisoara, get in touch with a housing agency or contact directly the people who rent rooms trough Publitim newspaper www.publitim.rowww.publitim.ro West University of Timișoara 2009 PresentationMay 15
