Key issues  All Sunraysia style rims are an “after market” fitment by the lease company prior to the vehicle arriving on site.  There have now been 5 known types of Sunraysia rims identified – CSA (originally thought to be Speedy), Speedy, ROH, Mauler, and King  It is now known that the “ CSA” type of rim is of most concern and not Speedy and may be fitted to a range of vehicles, namely Toyota Hi-Lux, Nissan and Toyota Landcruiser utilities.  There has been cracking found on ALL types of Sunraysia rims on site  As  As the cracks are developing from the inside out the rims need to be removed to fully inspect the integrity of the mounting base. Many of these cracked rims appeared to be completely normal from the outside. Exterior of rim – no evidence of cracking present Interior of rim – clear cracking present

3. Re- Identification Sunraysia Rims  CSA – KEY CONCERN (white rim with single blue and red stripes) (Hi-Lux typically)  King – white rim with single black and red stripes  ROH – white with single black stripe (Nissan typically)  Mauler – White with no striping (left)

4. Re- Identification Sunraysia Rims  Speedy Rim – known as the Desert-Rat rim (white rim with single green and red stripes)

5. How to Identify a “CSA” Sunraysia rim  Identifiable by the following features: Dual striping around the rim BLUE and RED (CSA) Convex shaped rim “x” = areas most susceptible to cracking due to shape of rim and stress at these points. X X X X X X X X = indicative of most common failure zone

6. Long Term Actions  Currently have a program for changing all rims back to the standard OEM rims where available (e.g. OEM single piece rims may not be available for Nissan and Landcruiser utilities).  Clarification with Leasing company with regard to BMA’s expectations for wheel specifications and tyres
