David Roth | Evansdale Library, West Virginia University 11/18 Learning preferences In educational theory, the manner in which a person learns something is called a learning preference or style People learn in many different ways Often, the way or strategy for learning something may depend upon what is to be learned (e.g., whether it is the content of a textbook chapter, a physical skill such as soccer, or an appreciation of a painting) A style is not fixed and rigid, and may change over time
