2 Induction (bring pan close) Pan is charged positive as long as it is near negative charged plate. (it is temporary!)

3 Conduction (sit pan on block) Pan becomes negatively charged when it touches plate and electron are transferred to it.

4 The bouncing ball Charge acquired by induction causes the ball to be attracted to the pan. Charges are transferred to ball by conduction and it is repelled. The ball is grounded when you touch it with your finger and it becomes neutral again.

5 Grounding Excess electrons leave pan through the ground and pan becomes neutral. e-

6 Grounding Electron rush onto pan from the ground until it becomes neutral.

7 Bulb flashes as electron travel from pan to ground.

8 Bulb flashes as electron travel from hand(ground) to pie pan.
