2 E*Value This guide is intended to assist the Training Program Administrator with orienting users to E*Value; If Training Program Administrators have questions about managing E*Value, please contact Sharon Sullivan at 829-6124 or sms64@buffalo.edu; sms64@buffalo.edu

3 E*Value Advanced Informatics, Inc. E*Value was purchased by the Office of Graduate Medical Education to electronically manage 69 Residency and Fellowship Programs; Implementation is to be completed by June, 2009;

4 E*Value Implementation Status as of 2/9/09

5 Why E*Value? Cost-effective saving staff time and costs in the preparation of paper evaluations and tracking outstanding evaluations; Saves paper and postage costs; Summary reports are generated of each trainee’s performance; Time-saver for all evaluators as long as there is access to an internet-accessible computer; Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) approved.

6 E*Valueoffers all of the following: Evaluation Management - customizable, competency-based, 360° Procedure & Diagnosis Tracking - summary logs, certification process Conference Tracking - attendance, content, calendar integration Document Management - upload/download important program documents Scheduling - schedule management, OnCall interface, view Calendar online Management Reporting - real-time, on-demand or scheduled data delivery Duty Hours Tracking - compare resident hours to ACGME requirements

7 E*Value Quick Start: In the event a user wants to navigate E*Value from the website: Open a web browser (Internet Explorer 6 or 7, Mozilla Firefox) Log onto https://www.e-value.net https://www.e-value.net

8 E*Value Quick Start: Bookmark this page in your favorites On the login page, click the hyperlink to have your login/password emailed to you immediately.

9 E*Value Screen By Screen Tutorial When your trainees or educators log onto E*Value, these are the screens they will view:

13 User’s “Pending” Evaluations Queue:

14 E*Value All evaluators and residents receive email notices that look like they are coming from the E*Value Program Administrator or e- value@e-value.net;e- value@e-value.net No login is needed…simply click on the link within the email and this will take you directly to the pending evaluations queue;

15 E*Value Evaluators complete the evaluations for each of the residents or attending physicians in the assigned activity simply by clicking in the appropriate score category. Written comments are strongly recommended!

16 E*Value If the evaluator is called away while completing an evaluation, there is an option to “Save For Later”. The evaluation will stay in the “Pending” queue until completed; Once the evaluation is completed, click the SUBMIT button. You have successfully and quickly completed your evaluations!
