All PMTCT Options recognized by the WHO require ART treatment for pregnant women with CD4<350 for maternal health and MTCT Integrating PMTCT with ART planning, programming, and budgeting provides the opportunity to significantly increase the number of persons on treatment Improving access to treatment for pregnant women will require the interdigitation of groups and organizations providing and supporting PMTCT and ART Evidence-based outcome data about Option B + retention, adherence, and resistance are limited Workshop on ART in Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, and Beyond

The experience initiating a national Option B + program in Malawi offers us the opportunity to learn lessons and review early outcome data that might be useful initiating other programs This meeting is designed to provide a forum to share information about integrating PMTCT and ART and a platform to help plan our way forward The Adult Treatment and PMTCT/Pediatric Technical Workgroups plan to collaborate together to work closely with you in this effort Workshop on ART in Pregnancy, Breastfeeding, and Beyond
