8. The So-Called Apostles’ Creed
The Apostle’s Creed is one of the earliest man-made creeds (Perhaps appeared first in 390 AD).
The creed appears nowhere in the Bible.
Thus, this creed and all other human creeds are not scripture; and therefore, they are not inspired.
From this early beginning, many groups have written creed books of one kind or another—manuals, disciplines, catechisms, etc.
The New Testament is man’s only statement of faith and conduct: “If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God.” 1 Peter 4:11

15. 2 Tim 1:13-14
Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. 14 That good thing which was committed to you, keep by the Holy Spirit who dwells in us.

16. There Is a Pattern of Sound Teaching:
The word pattern is used by Paul to state the certainty of New Testament teaching: “ Whereas you were once servants of sin, you became obedient from the heart to that form of teaching whereunto you were delivered; and being made free from sin, you became servants of righteousness.” Rom. 6:17-18.
The same root word, TUPOS, is translated form—the same word we use for concrete forms. Change the shape of the form, and the shape of the material changes. When human creeds change the form of teaching, the outcome changes. No longer are servants of sin made servants of righteousness.
