1. English Second Paper Class Nine Time 40 min.

2. When we ask anything to anybody then we use Interrogative sentences. Such as - What’s your name? How are you ? But there are some exceptional expression in English language. John is playing now. Isn’t he ? Rebeka sings well. Doesn’t she ? ? ?

4. Tag শব্দের অর্থ জুড়ে দেওয়া । কোন Statement কে ঠিক কিনা তা যাচাই করার জন্য যে প্রশ্ন জুড়ে দেওয়া হয় তাই Tag Question. Robi is playing now, isn’t he ? Rebeka sings well, doesn’t she ?

5. Rule -1 Statement affirmative হলে Tag Question negative হয় Statement negative হলে Tag Question affirmative হয় । Nuru is very happy. isn’t he ? Sami is not very happy. is he ?

6. Rule -2 am, is, are, was, were, have, has, had, shall, will, would, can, could, may, might, do,does,did, ought to, used to, need, dare ইত্যাদি operator গুলোর সাথে not যুক্ত হলে তা সংক্ষিপ্ত হয় । am not…………. Aren’t/ ain’t shall not ……….. Shan’t will not ………… won’t must not ………… mustn’t

7. Rule – 3 Subject হিসেবে somebody, someone, everybody, everyone,nobody, no one, all থাকলে এদের পরিবর্তে They বসে । Somebody went there, didn’t they ? Everybody was present. Weren’t they ? তবে Nothing, anything, everything, something, থাকলে এদের পরিবর্তে It বসে ।

8. Rule 4 Sentence এ never, hardly, rarely, scarcely, few, little, seldom ইত্যাদি থাকলে তা n egative বুঝয়ায় । তাই T ag Question affirmative হয় । Rahul seldom comes here, does he ? I have a few book, have I? / do I ?

9. Rule -5 Imperative sentence এ will you ? বা Won’t you ? বসে । Give me a pen, will you ? তবে Let’s থাকলে shall w e ? বসে । Let’s do the work, shall we ? কিন্তু, Let him write a letter, will you ?

10. Home work 1.I shall never forget you, … ……. …… 2.Neither of them helped me,…………… 3.Nothing comes or goes,……………….. 4.No man is happy in this world, ………... 5.You have done well, …………………... shall I ?
