2 Civil Rights Groups in the 1960’s  Black Panthers -Rebellious black political rights group. -Founded Octpber1966 by Bobby Seale & Huey Newton -Demanded black rights Full Employment Decent education and housing Youngers moved into a white neighborhood.

3 Civil Rights Leaders in the 1960’s  John F. Kennedy -Made laws to end segregation Martin Luther King Jr. -Peace, Equality, Blacks whites together -Led marches, boycotts, gave speeches  Bennie trying to be a Dr.

4 My Background  Pretty much black, Dad’s grand mom is white  No customs  Culture unrelated to identity -Personality doesn't reflect on culture  Race means everything in the play

5 My goals  Football player -Easy money  U.S. Marshall -Dad told me stories  Get paid 6 figures -Enough money to live a great life  I will try but won't obsess

6 Conclusion  Equality  Race doesn’t matter
