10 Your vote really does matter, it’s just a matter of you voting! Your vote will help shape the future of our municipality by helping to determine who will sit on the local council and make the often difficult decisions about, but not limited to: √ What services our municipality will offer; √ How much our municipality will be spending on roads, recreation, planning and building issues, protective and administrative services; √ What resources are necessary for our stakeholders and where or how they will access those resources. √ Policies regarding land use, recreational water quality initiatives, and other community needs.

11 Properties Held in Trust or Owned by a Corporation Properties that are held in trust or by a corporation, including a Family Trust, are not eligible for voting rights. However, if the property user can produce either a Utility Billing in the person’s name and showing the property address, or a lease agreement for exclusive use, I may be able to qualify them as a "Tenant" on the property. The Spouse of that 'Tenant" may also be eligible to vote. Adult Children of Cottage Property Owners do not get to vote unless they are named on the deed or have an exclusive use tenancy agreement.
