1 Start-Up Challenge Over the next few months, we will be looking at business start ups. This challenge will involve you carrying out research into how a business started. The business may have been set up by somebody you know or located in your local town or perhaps was featured in a national newspaper. You will need to find out the information on the challenge cards and present back to the class. Your team will be now be presented with a card.

2 Challenge Guide How you should work, individually or as a group Your presentation style Essential Terms, these must be included as part of your presentation and clearly defined to show good knowledge (AO1, Content) Research Focus You should aim to find out and include these points. Everyone to produce a piece of work individually. Presentation style – in the form of a news item on TV. It could be filmed on location and shown in class or delivered by a team of news readers. Presentation style – your information should be presented in the form of a newspaper article. One member of the team will be asked to read their article out. Presentation style – you need to produce a 3 slide PowerPoint Presentation, all members of the group must contribute.
