3 In 2002 the BBC ran a competition to see who was the Greatest Briton. One of the most popular contenders was Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Watch a clip from the programme on his life, and around the picture of Brunel your teacher provides, note down the reasons why he was such a great entrepreneur.  What were his weaknesses & failings, too?

4 You will be given some facts about the entrepreneur Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Sort the cards in to categories and think of labels for each category.  Think of other entrepreneurs and whether they fit the same categories.

9  Your task Your teacher will ask you to draw the name of another famous entrepreneur from out of a hat. Your task is to imagine a museum wishes to hold a special exhibition on the lives of Britain’s greatest entrepreneurs. You need to research the life of your entrepreneur, create a model which illustrates their achievements and give a presentation on why they were so successful. There will be a prize for the winning presentation!
