Supports the work of 33 funded partners Community-based human service organizations Critically important to provide consistent and reliable stream of funding to support community programming and services

5 We all win when a child can play in a neighbourhood where the shouts are of joy, not despair. on the first day of school be ready to learn; stay in the school until they graduate

6 United Way’s Priorities supporting children aged 0 – 6 and their families; supporting children and youth to stay in school and connect to work; building safe and stable neighbourhoods; ensure availability of crisis services, especially for women and children fleeing domestic violence

7 Community Impact The funds you donate stay in your Community brings the community together into partnerships Create ideas and plans for the most pressing challenges Provide Tools and Support Working together to Create Real Solutions These solutions cannot become real without your donations

8 Where do Donations Go 83% raised went to local funded partners 33 local agencies are funded Administration costs kept down – via corporate assistance, –vo lunteers and events In Regina approx 11,000 donors

9 How does Payroll deduction work Pledge forms are processed by HR staff only You indicate the number of pay periods to deduct from. There are 24 in a year. You pledge a dollar amount per pay Starting in January donation is deducted from each pay. That’s 2 pay periods a month Next years T4 will include the total donated amount

15 Sarcan In the spirit of Recycling Please donate your empty cans and bottles in the boxes provided on each floor Proceeds will be donated to the United Way Oh Yeah! Please remove the lids. Bottles cannot be recycled with the lids on.

16 A Penny Saved See a penny pick it up And all day you’ll have good luck. Put the penny in our Jar and it could heal another’s scar.

17 One persons Junk Clean out your home of unwanted Books, Tapes, CD’s, Videos and DVD’s or just Bake up some goodies. Donate these items to the United Way. Then come out and look for deals on October 29th
