2. A poorly dressed lady, with a sad face entered a grocery shop. She went close to the owner and asked him very humbly if she could carry some food at credit. With a smooth voice she explained that her husband was sick and that they needed food badly with their seven children.

3. The owner asked her to leave the shop quietly. Realizing the needs of her family she went on begging: “ Please sir, give me some food now and I’ll pay as soon as I can.” “I can’t do that without a credit card” he said. A client was close by and overheard the conversation..

4. The client whispered to the owner that he would take charges for the lady’s merchandise. The owner said to the lady: “ Do you have a shopping list?” The lady said : “Yes Sir.” He said: “ Fine, put it on the scale and whatever it weighs, I will counterbalance with food.” She hesitated for a while, then pulled a piece of paper from her bag and wrote something, then put it on the scale.

5. The owner and the client were staring astonishingly as the scale was going down to the lower limit. The owner, amazed, said:” there must be something wrong with my scale.” The client smiled and said:” No, no, go ahead and load the food!” The owner loaded so much food that it was coming overboard the scale that had just started to move.

6. Finally, he put the food into bags and took a look at the piece of paper. It was not a shopping list but a little prayer saying: “ God, you know my needs, I am leaving this between your hands.” The owner gave her the bags full of food in silence. She thanked both men and got out.

7. The client pulled a fifty dollar bill and gave it to the owner saying: “ It’s worth every cent in it.. God only knows how much a prayer weighs.” When you receive this message make a prayer. This is all you have to do. For you, your family and loved ones, and for me. Then send it on.

8. Please don’t break this chain of prayer. In order to let everyone obtain from God what he needs. Prayer is the best free luxury that we have. It costs nothing and pays so much.
