Accountable DOE-Owned Personal Property  Non-cap accountable (10K to $499K) end-item property and equipment with an OAC of =>$10K, having the potential for maintaining its integrity as an item (i.e., 1ea asset, not expendable due to use). Includes sensitive, high risk, precious metals, and “other” (as deemed by management) regardless of OAC.  Cap-Accountable (= > $500,000) threshold for items acquired prior to October 1, 2011 is $50,000; acquired on or after October 1, 2011, is $500,000. Capitalize individual PP&E items purchased, constructed, or fabricated in-house, including major mods or improvements to any of these items, with an anticipated service life of 2 years or more, and regardless of funding sources  Sensitive Item : Property potentially dangerous to the public safety or security if lost. stolen, or misplaced, or that shall be subject to exceptional physical security, protection, control and accountability. 4MA-653 ~ PMW 2013
