7 Data Collector Responsibilities Must attend training + practice Responsible for handheld device Follow scripts and protocols Collect accurate data Wait to select Finish until in car Discuss uncertainties & photo opportunities with driver Touch Finish before moving on

8 Driver Responsibilities Follow route maps Safely transport data collectors to stores Have maps, manuals, team info on hand Help determine % ads ratio Ask about difficulties, uncertainties, and photo opportunities Help resolve questions, record field notes Call POC with problems, submit field notes

10 Safety/Communication Always carry team contact information Data collectors work in pairs (where possible) Drivers keep data collectors in sight Line of communication = Data Collectors Drivers Point of Contact Evaluation Center

11 Point of Contact (POC) Responsibilities Establish data collection protocols Remain reachable during data collection hours Collect, review field notes daily/when possible Upload data from devices daily/when possible Report any data problems to TCEC Confirm number of completions with TCEC

12 Tobacco Control Evaluation Center (TCEC) Responsibilities Assign a TCEC associate to each LLA Communicate regularly with each POC Provide support as needed

13 Here’s What TCEC Can Do Help with device set-up Assist with data collection training Troubleshoot problems in the field Verify data uploads Perform data cleaning Deliver final data set to each LLA
