Health warning and some observations First (and early) reps’ survey: pilot/baseline data Low participation (fifth of survey returns on concurrent right to request time to train survey) Clear that awareness levels are low and detectable impact in the workplace is low: need to consider communication strategy These are just early indications of – debt as foremost deterrent for learning participation at level 3 and 4 – loans product itself not well known but polarised opinion with some starting to see it favourably and others very negatively (may need to do further analysis) So far, changes detectable only in a minority of cases to employer policies and college behaviour Plans to repeat this exercise early next year to see how the situation has developed
