2 SAI EDUCARE - Philosophy
Educare is to understand that there is an inherent holistic inter-relationship among all human values, elements of creation, all domains of human capability and all aspects of Nature. Educare is an opportunity of integrating Ancient Wisdom and Modern Technology.

3 SAI EDUCARE – Baba’s Message
As written at PRASANTHI NILAYAM - Today 22/8/2003 THOUGHT FOR THE DAY A society without values will cease to be human. The more human values are cherished, the better will be the growth of society, the nation and the world. We cannot rest content with an education system which is confined to academic achievement. It has to simultaneously promote human virtues. The main problem of our education is to adapt the spiritual and cultural traditions we have inherited from the past, to the needs of daily life today.  - BABA the official Website of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust

4 SAI EDUCARE Latin root for the word Education Education - for caring
- with care in caring EDUCATION WITH CARING FOR CARING

5 Sri Sathya Sai Baba said on Sept 25, 2000:
“Education has two aspects; the first is related to external and worldly education, which is nothing but acquiring bookish knowledge. In modern world, we find many well versed and highly qualified in this aspect. The second aspect known as Educare is related to human values. The word Educare means to bring out that is within. Human Values are latent in every human being; one cannot acquire them from outside. They have to be elicited from within. Educare means to bring out human values. ‘To bring out’ means to translate them into action”

6 SAI EDUCARE To bring out from within To elicit
What is to be brought out? Every form of knowledge and capacity that is latent The physical, mental, spiritual and ethical potentials within -The Divinity within

om atmava idameka avagra asit nanyatu kancan bhisatu sa iksatu lokan srjayitih! Rig-Veda In the beginning the attribute less Supreme Being (Brahman) was everywhere. Nothing else was there. That Supreme Being willed to create the worlds and the five elements. “There was no one to know, who I am, Until I created the world, At My pleasure, with one word, Immediately mountains rose up, Oceans, seas, lands and water shades, Sun, Moon and desert sands, Sprang out of nowhere, To prove My Existence. Then came all forms of beings, Men, Beasts and Birds, Speaking, hearing, flying. All powers were bestowed upon them, Under my orders. The first place was granted, To mankind. And my knowledge was placed, In man’s mind.” - Sri Sathya Sai Baba

13 SAI EDUCARE -Creation - God is the seed
From the primordial sound of OM the five elements emerged in order. Baba said on May 15, 2000: “The whole cosmos is made up of the five elements, Space, Air, Fire, Water and Earth. Sound, touch, form, taste and smell represent their attributes. All this have emerged from Being-Awareness-Bliss (Sat-Chit-Ananda), the Primal Source.”

“The ability to synchronize your thought, word and deed should be developed when, with your mind you are thinking good thoughts, with your mouth you are speaking good words, and with your body you are doing good deeds. HEART, HEAD and HANDS have to function together, have to be integrated into our lives.”

21 SAI EDUCARE - 3HV Information received from external world get stored in mind (HEAD)- gives rise to Thoughts. Thoughts should be routed through our conscience (HEART). The spiritual heart is the seat of values. If the thought is good, the Heart will approve it; it can be acted upon by (HANDS). The re-routing of thoughts through Heart is TRANSFORMATION. The conscience acts as the guiding force in our life.

24 SAI EDUCARE -Purity-Unity-Divinity
The combination of UNITY, PURITY and DIVINITY forms the core of Educare. Inputs from senses to mind require to be controlled and pure. When mind becomes pure and filled with love, also achieves unity of thought, word and deed, then alone Divinity can be experienced. This is Purity, Unity and Divinity – it comes with hard practice (5Ds) and finally leads to “immortality”.
