“Drunk In Love” Song of Songs 2:15

Promise me, O women of Jerusalem, by the gazelles and wild deer, not to awaken love until the time is right. Song of Solomon 2:7

Question Why not? Why should we wait?

Reason 1 To prevent deception 1 Corinthians 13:5a-6 It does not demand its own way…It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. 1 Corinthians 13:5a-6

Reason 2 It's not free! If you do, you will lose your honor and will lose to merciless people all you have achieved...

Reason 2 Strangers will consume your wealth, and someone else will enjoy the fruit of your labor.

Reason 2 In the end you will groan in anguish when disease consumes your body. You will say, “How I hated discipline! If only I had not ignored all the warnings! Proverbs 5:9-12

Reason 3 It’s dehumanizing When we are only vulnerable with our bodies and not with our whole person, it simply becomes a primal act and we are no different than animals.

Reason 4 It's a cheap imitation Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? 1 Corinthians 6:19

To be loved and not known dehumanizes you. To be known and not loved destroys you.

To be known and loved completes you.

Application Trust Him!
