9. Washington & troops keeping eye on rest of British in NYC 2 nd French fleet on its way to Yorktown- Admiral De Grasse Wash and Roch sneak away, head to Yorktown Greene from Carolina (see map you drew)

10. British Surrender British surrounded at Yorktown, siege– trap army & wait them out British troops die of disease, starvation, constant artillery bombing Cornwallis surrenders, end of the war

11. Treaty of Paris II British decide we’re not worth it J. Adams, John Jay, and B. Franklin negotiate peace treaty British will: –Recognize US as a nation –Remove troops from western US –Give us rights to fish off of Canada
