2 Who are we? London's dedicated human trafficking team Located in West London Victim centred – Dedicated victim team Work reactively and proactively Extensive partners both government and NGO Operate locally – nationally - internationally TOTAL POLICING

3 SC&O9 2011-12 114 women encountered in brothels of which 75% displayed indicators of being trafficking (ILO)\. 62 cases referred by NGO'S Others identified direct Of these, the biggest groups are Romanian (28%), Nigerian (17%) and Chinese(15%) Since April 2010 SC&O9 have made 142 arrests for trafficking resulting in 55% of all UK convictions. 30 My aims of today Prevention Pastoral care Reintegration If from today we save one person from the horrors of trafficking it has been worth while. However, I believe we now have the opportunity to embark on a process to save many from this human tragedy
