10. An Exploration Of Grace  Have you ever received a really nice gift unasked for?  How did it make you feel?  Unmerited favor.  Undeserved favor.  This is GRACE!

11. Grace! Grace! God’s Grace!  John 1:16 – “For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.”

12. Man, you’re really helpless!  Romans 5:6 – “For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.”

13. How Do We Define HELPLESS?  “There is no such thing as helplessness. It’s just another word for giving up.” Jefferson Smith Strange Places

14. Is This Helpless?  “Do you know how helpless you feel if you have a full cup of coffee in your hands and you start to sneeze? Jean Kerr

15. Yet God Said We Were Helpless  In what way were we helpless?  Can’t save ourselves.  GODLESS in the world.  Condemned to destruction.  Unable to find our way back to God.

16. But at the right time…  “…at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.”  According to God’s plan.  After sufficient notice was served.  At the culmination of the ages.  Hebrews 9:26 – “…but now once at the consummation of the ages He has been manifested to put away sin by the sacrifice of Himself.”

17. The Unfathomable Grace of God  Verse 8 -- But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  God’s love extended to sinners  Extended to us as ENEMIES of God

18. Daring To Die For Losers!  Verse 7– “For one will hardly die for a righteous man; though perhaps for the good man someone would dare even to die.”  Jesus died for us when we were horrible!  Would you? Could you?  Jesus dared!

19. Is It For Me, Dear Savior?  Verse 9-10 -- Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life.  Justified By His Blood  Saved from the wrath of God  Reconciled by His death  Saved by His life
