Objectives Students will be able to define a noun, a verb and an adjective. Students will be able to identify nouns, adjectives and verbs. Students will be able to identify the different parts of speech within a sentence.

What is a noun? A noun is a word that identifies a person, a place or a thing. Here are some examples of nouns! dog Syracuse mother New York apple United States of America school teacher Miss Stooks Wegmans
