2. God as Father Psalms 103:13 The Lord is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. Who ever heard of a child who is never disciplined by its father? (8) If God doesn’t discipline you as he does all of his children, it means that you are illegitimate and are not really his children at all. 4. God as a Warrior Nehemiah 4:20 When you hear the blast of the trumpet, rush to wherever it is sounding. Then our God will fight for us!” Exodus 15:3 The Lord is a warrior; Yahweh is his name!

5. God as Provider Psalms 37:39-40 The Lord rescues the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble. (40) The Lord helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in him.

6. Jesus as a Shepherd John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep.

7. Jesus as a Bridegroom Matthew 9:15 Jesus replied, “Do wedding guests mourn while celebrating with the groom? Of course not. But someday the groom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast.

10. 1 Peter 3:6-7 In the same way, you husbands must give honor to your wives. Treat your wife with understanding as you live together. She may be weaker than you are, but she is your equal partner in God’s gift of new life. Treat her as you should so your prayers will not be hindered.
