3 Goal Setting   Make sure the goal you are working for is something you really want, not just something that sounds good.   A goal can not contradict any of your other goals.

4 Goal Setting (cont’d)   Develop goals in all areas of life: health, family, community, business   Write your goal in the positive instead of the negative.   Write your goal out in complete detail.

7 Community Map   Creating a Community Map enables you to become familiar with the interrelationships of the people and geography of your whole community.

8 Community Mapping Identifying the following five aspects allows residents to build a map of their community: 1. Boundaries: A community’s boundaries, or external edges, show the turf to its residents. 2. Pathways: Streets, bike trails and walkways provide for the comings and goings of pedestrians and vehicles.
